Every day at four o’clock I stop whatever it is I am doing to watch my favorite soap opera. I take the phone off the hook, lock the door, sit with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and escape. It has become, ladies gold watch
, an addiction. One that I like having.
Almost every, ladies gold watch
, time I do this, I am astounded at how much better the lives of these people are than mine.

There are some basic, ladies gold watch
, facts, Ladies and Gentlemen, that apply only to soap opera people, the women in particular.
The women in soap operas are always extraordinarily beautiful. The women in soap operas do not walk across a room, they glide. The women in soap operas are never without a man for more than three hours at a stretch. That is, if their story book relationship is about to break up, you can always be assured that there is another Adonis waiting just around the scene.

The women in soap operas never do laundry, clean toilet bowls or vacuum. The women is soap operas never have a single hair out of place or a nail chipped.
I remember one scene in particular that exemplified this because it paralleled the same situation in my life. I was at the airport saying goodbye to my friend. A young lady on the soap opera was at the airport saying goodbye to her lover.
I will never forget how she looked.

One perfectly shaped tear glistened down her luminously made up face. The wind blew through her shining blonde hair. (I wondered at the time where the wind came from in the middle of the airport). A Beethoven symphony was playing in the background and dozens of beautiful white casablanca lilies cascaded around her from out of, ladies gold watch
, the sky (there must have been a hole in the airport roof), as her lover took her hand in his and kissed it tenderly.

In my scenario, there was considerably more than one tear. My face was not luminous, it was wet. It did not glisten, it was too drenched in mascara and pancake make up to glisten too much. The only music I recall was a strange looking fellow ‘s sony walkman blasting something less than romantic in the background. I particularly remember this because it drowned out the sound of whatever my friend was saying to me at the time.

I have a strong suspicion it was goodbye, but I will never really know for sure.
Human, ladies gold watch
, beings behave differently on soap operas. Have you ever watched people go swimming on a soap opera. The women arrive at the pool in gold laminated dresses enveloping their tiny bikinis that match the gold flecks in their eyes. The men, I am sure arrive straight from their previous employment with Playgirl magazine.

If either party actually does manage to get wet, you can be assured that as they emerge out of the water, their hair suddenly parts perfectly down the middle of their forehead, miraculously, similar to the parting of the red sea. The men’s bodies glisten with oils. Somehow a little man with an oil can must have been down there at the bottom of the pool. Many times, I have waited beside my pool (such as it is) hoping some man, any man, would emerge, tanned and oiled like that, all to no avail.

And have you ever noticed what it is like being sick on a soap opera. It almost makes you want to run out and collect as many germs as you can find, just so you can get admitted to those wonderful places of recuperation. Terminal patients never, ladies gold watch
, look terminal on a soap. They look lovely. They lie in their perfectly made up Wamsutta down beds while being attended to by physicians that look remarkably like Robert Redford and Tom Cruise.

And most of them seem to have sudden and, ladies gold watch
, astounding recoveries. Of course, with doctors like those, who could blame them. Even the dead on soap operas look wonderful. If I really must go someday, please God, let it be on a soap. I would love the world to remember me that way.
Let’s face it. The people on soaps do not attend to everyday realities. I do not recall even one soap opera person ever having to go the the john.

I have given this much thought and have decided that, ladies gold watch
, they just, ladies gold, ladies gold watch
, watch
, don’t have to do that sort of thing. They go to the powder room, (it’s much more civilized) to check that nothing is amiss, although God knows why, they couldn’t possibly be improved upon.
People in soap operas don’t cook much either. Rarely have I seen anyone sweating over a hot stove.

They hardly eat. That must be why they all remain so svelte. When they do feel the need to indulge, well, you can be assured it will be at their favorite local dining establishment,, ladies gold watch
, ladies gold watch
, . Probably a place called “The Escargot Room” where they are greeted by a very distinguished frenchman named Pierre, taken to their private table, where of course their usual red roses, waterford crystal and candlelight awaits them.

All of these details go without saying. They are often the only ones in the restaurant, so there is always plenty of room on the immaculately marbled dance floor.
It is here of course where the man, handsomely dressed in his tuxedo, whispers the most incredibly romantic things in the woman’s ear. , ladies gold watch
, Things such as, “Darling, you touch my soul with your eyes.” I ask you, my friends, when was the last time your man said that to you?
Oh, and if it just happens to be a special occasion such as an engagement, then a trio of violinists or a mini orchestra suddenly appears on the scene and the lady is presented with a diamond ring, I am sure, borrowed from Elizabeth Taylor’s collection, while sipping on her Dom Perignon.

As of late, it has also occurred to me that people on soap operas never seem to pay bills, floss their teeth or change their kid’s diapers. And you know something, I wouldn’t have it any other way. If I wanted to watch that, I wouldn’t have to turn on the TV. You can keep your reality. Give me Fantasy!
At least for one hour every day at four o’clock.
Has a nation every conducted a war like the one Israel waged against Hezbollah? Instead of the usual “war is hell,” it was more like an attempt to conduct war as make nice.
Now that a cease fire is in place, fragile as it may be, let’s review the tactic and how it weathered the war.
Did we hear announcements from Israel anywhere remotely near “We will destroy you to, <a href="http://www.threepersontent.

us” target=”_blank”>three person tent
, the last man”?
No, instead we heard niceties like:
“… terrorist elements … are using you as human shields by launching rockets toward the state of Israel from your homes.”
“All cars and vehicles of any type will be shelled if seen moving south of the Litani River because they will be considered suspect of transferring rockets, military ammunitions and those causing destruction.

“
“You need to know that anyone moving in any type of car will put their life in danger.”
Leaflets have warned of a “painful and strong” response to attacks by Hezbollah and warned the residents of three suburbs in the south of Lebanon to evacuate.
And, to make nice even more, Israel granted the Red Cross “freedom of movement” for its convoys, which have been providing aid to people in Lebanon.
Yes, many Lebanese civilians were killed – 689 at last count.

But there was also a toll among the Israelis: at last, count, 36 civilians and 67 soldiers were dead. Each death is a heartrending tragedy. Yet even a make-nice war does, three person tent
, come with some unavoidable loss of life.
During the conduct of this unprecedented war with warnings, numerous Israeli soldiers confessed that they felt the army should have hit Hezbollah harder but was held back by the government’s concern for civilian casualties.

Finally, just as the UN reached agreement on a cease-fire plan, Israel moved ahead with force.
Now the fighting seems all but over, at least, for as long as it’s all but over.
Yet the initial tardiness rankled many.
Just days before the cease fire, Lt. Col. Svika Nezer, the commander of an artillery battery a few miles outside Kiryat Shemona, said his unit was only using about 20 percent of its firepower.

“We could do much, much more. But the orders we get are limited.”
Meanwhile, Ehud Olmert made nice without hesitation by declaring that a proposal by Lebanon to send 15,000 troops south to prevent attacks by Hezbollah is “interesting,” even though under the Lebanon’s watch the guerilla group has been able to amass an arsenal of thousands of missiles aimed, three person tent
, at Israel. He also made nice big time by agreeing to put a larger offensive on hold to give the international community more time to work out a peace plan.

But by Friday afternoon, he had finally had enough of make nice and announced that the larger offensive had begun.
Even Israeli defense minister, Amir Peretz, was in on the effort to make war while making nice, saying, “We are doing everything to allow these two efforts to complement each other …. We’ll see the military operation as having created the diplomatic climate and a new situation.”
Apparently, much of the Israeli cabinet wanted to make nice, too.

Rafi Eitan, a cabinet minister, said on Israel radio, “There are diplomatic considerations. There is still a chance, three person tent
, that an international force will arrive in the area. We have no interest in being in south Lebanon. We have an interest in peace on our borders.”
To confirm the unusual facts before us, the standard parade of retired, three person tent
, American generals appeared on CNN and Fox News, stating that Israel was prosecuting the war, three person tent
, in a way that exceeds the requirements of the Geneva Accords and with more care to control collateral deaths than even the proudly, three person tent
, idealistic, three person tent
, US when it goes to war.

And, by the way, did Harry Truman, generally recognized presidential hero but quintessential pragmatist, drop leaflets on Japan before we dropped the two A-Bombs?
If you still believe Israel erred on the side of violent excess, compare this indulgent kindness with what we heard from Hassan Nasrallah, the ruthless leader of Hezbollah, who, worst fear of all, may well live on to become a mistaken hero and, as such, a thorn of ever-festering magnitude in Israel’s quest for peaceful survival.

In a recent departure from his bunker to appear on TV, he threatened to turn southern Lebanon into “a graveyard” for the Israelis. “I say to the Zionists, you could come anywhere, invade, land airborne forces, enter this village or that, but I repeat, all this will cost you a high price.” Then, continuing with bravado as false as it is impractical, he said, “We will fight until the last bullet, as long as there’s a grenade, as long as there’s a rocket, there will still be fighting.

“
We suppose that this was an imposture to sound heroic to the uneducated Arab masses, who look to him simply because he is supposed to be a brave leader, while what he has led to most conspicuously is the death of many Lebanese citizens and the destruction of much of the infrastructure of the recovering country.
We can also add to his murderous manias the bonkers claim by his patron and boss in absentia,, three person tent
, the madman of Iran, the vituperative vow to “wipe Israel off the face of the map.

“
Given the above comparison, never has a nation waged a more ethically restrained war than the one in which Israel was engaged.
Yet, even in light of Israel’s unprecedented carefulness, the little state was still reviled by Arab nations and even the United Nations for its “overreaction” and “indiscriminate bombing.”
Considering the ingratitude elicited by its make nice war conduct, we find flickers of the old and sinister observation that it is better to be feared than to be loved, especially, we should add, when making war, in which case love may be unattainable.

Given the entire indecisive mishmash, Israel’s greatest general, Moshe Dyan must have been rolling in his, three person tent
, grave and tearing at his black eye patch. If he had been in control, he would surely have planned an initial tactic other than entering Lebanon gingerly to combat Hezbollah’s on its own terms. How he would have ranted at inching across the border to battle the guerillas, entrenched in their cement bunkers on byways long booby trapped, and then marching back home to rest up, while another troop of soldiers wandered in, treading carefully among the booby traps and jack-in-the-box Hezbollah gunners and rocketeers.

We have only been curious observers of military strategy – from Caesar, at the head of 10,000 or so cohorts, patiently monitoring tribes of barbarians in excess of, we are told by him in his Gallic Wars, 100,000 persons, until he had them in a defile to our own swift and decisive thrusts of recent times. But even we can imagine that he would have planned a dramatic movement, like a breathtakingly rapid phalanx of tanks up the 20 miles to the Litani river, along the most accessible route, accomplishing the goal in perhaps less than an hour; then slicing across the narrow land to cut the guerillas in the south off and have them trapped in a pincer action as old as prehistoric combat.

Noting the hesitant conduct of the war, even the usually stoic Israeli public began to urge its government to let the army hit Hezbollah harder, so it could not threaten Israel again.
Why, even a Jewish grandmother was upset by the tentative prosecution of the war. Ehud Yaari, an Arab affairs analyst, said of his mother, who is 85: “She calls me all the time to ask me how come the army is still having a fistfight with Hezbollah in places 500 meters from the border.

“
The daily paper Haaretz published a cartoon satirizing the group Peace Now, with a balding member, sporting a ponytail, saying, “It won’t end until we wipe Beirut off the map.”
And Yossi Beilin, leader of the dovish Meretz Party, went so far as to confirm that the Jewish people have the right to “a democratic and secure state.”
Of course, not every Israeli was for the war to be stepped up. Some wanted it stopped.

Every Friday,, three person tent
, anti-war activists demonstrated against it.
But recent opinion polls showed support for the war at about 80%.
Unfortunately, one of the collateral complications of Israel’s careful approach has been the steady publicity of buildings blown up and civilians killed, instead of the usual major attack and, hopefully, a swift end of the conflict.
The effort has been sort of like a dentist attempting to pull a tooth with his fingers, instead of using forceps.

So he pulls a little here and there, and every time the patient winces, he stops, until he and the patient give up in sweaty despondency, and the tooth is still stuck right where it was.
Of course, there are those who are vocal critics of the gradually waged war.
Gerald M. Steinberg, director of the Program on Conflict Management, three person tent
, at Bar-Ilan University, said, “… there is a strong sense of hesitation, of the lack of military leadership needed in times like this.

“
Yuval Steinitz of Likud, who is the head of the parliamentary subcommittee for defense preparedness, exclaimed, “Doubts? That’s an understatement. People are talking of failure…. The bombardment of Israeli, three person tent
, cities was supposed to be over after 48 hours. The fact that only now the government is ready to even start the real ground campaign is overwhelming.” Then Mr. Steinitz remembered and referred to Israeli defense doctrine since the tiny nation’s founding, which is that it must immediately take the fight “deep into enemy territory to protect its civilian rear….

This didn’t happen, and against who? Hezbollah, which is the size of a Syrian division without any air defense. So what would we do against Syria?”
And, after the announcement of the weekend delay to let the UN work its way, the columnist Ari Shavit, three person tent
, wrote in Haaretz :”You cannot lead an entire nation to war promising victory, produce humiliating defeat and remain in power.”
Ben Caspit, a columnist for Maariv, agreed that it would be difficult for, three person tent
, Olmert to stay in office: “The public in Israel will, three person tent
, not keep silent about this month without reaching a victory or exacting an appropriate price.

“
And Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of the conservative Likud party, is bestirring himself as he begins to take calculated potshots at the government for its management of the war, now that the smoke is clearing enough for him to develop risk-free hindsight.
But the slowness of Israel’s advance against Hezbollah was, given the flatfooted ground offensive, to be expected, much like our own difficulty in neutralizing the insurgents in Iraq.

Security officials blame the delay on Hezbollah’s bunkers, which, three person tent
, are fortified with cement, electrified, and well-stocked with weapons and food.
As if these “into the breach” complications on the Lebanese, three person tent
, front aren’t enough, the Palestinian guerillas must still be dealt with.
The worst effect is, Israel’s hesitant assault on Hezbollah may give its other arch enemies with dire power, Syria and Iran, false confidence that they can launch an attack and actually rid themselves of the thorn in the toe of their own incompetent governance.

Insightful observers understand the provocation by Hezbollah that initiated the war was mainly motivated, not only by its admitted goal of using the kidnapped soldiers as bargaining chips to obtain the release of many of its members in Israeli jails, but also by its anxious need to justify its existence, along with the present need of Iran, its banker and arsenal, to provide a distraction from its nuclear dilemma.

In the end, Israel must do whatever it takes to survive and, if luck will allow, to live in peace with, three person tent
, its neighbors, uncomfortable, three person tent
, with the detente as either side may be.
Despite every, three person tent
, ethical person’s abhorrence of war and its wages, history shows quite consistently that in this flagrantly treacherous world a nation needs, in times of treachery, leaders who are made of armor-hard and aggressive, if not outright mean, stuff.

And, remorseful as it, three person tent
, sounds, it appears that the sudden taking of life, while terrible in itself, often, as the result of the shock it produces, prevents the loss of more life over a grueling pattern of half measures. These are terrible observatins, but what is more dangerous than to don blinders while the enemy is aiming at you?
While we are, in all our being, advocates of life, life in fact as our principal defense against death, we also know that a slow war of attrition, three person tent
, can kill more people than a deft move that achieves a military goal suddenly.

The war, whether over now or not, will finally wane, either as a result of the UN resolution or Israel’s belated resolve to pick up the forceps and remove the inflamed molar by the name of Hezbollah.
Should peace prevail, it will be, in the remembered annals of the area, an unprecedented felicity. Not since, three person tent
, recorded history began, some 5,000 years ago, cut in Sumerian cuneiform, has peace reigned in the persistently irate and combative region.

As for now, on the part of Israel, there is unavoidable shame at not achieving a decisive victory, apologies by Olmert and the leaders of Israel’s defense forces, and blame-placing from myriad sources. There are also bound to be unforseen and perhaps dangerous sequelae, witness Nasrallah’s boast, “We are today before a strategic, historic victory, without exaggeration.”
For Hezbollah, considering the Lebanese civilians who have died as a reaction to its ill-considered kidnappings and the damage that has been wreaked on Lebanon’s material wealth, there must be, as painful realizations set in, a point in which the guerilla group may pay a price at the hands of its own countrymen, regardless of Nasrallah’s false protestations of victory, three person tent
, .

It is unlikely, we think, that those, three person tent
, bereaved and bludgeoned citizens will be in much of mood to make nice.
Tom Attea, humorist and creator of NewsLaugh.com, has had six shows produced Off-Broadway. Critics have called his writing “delightfully funny,” “witty,” with “great humor and ebullience” and “good, genuine laughs.”

Hollywood was an attractive place for the early filmmakers to settle, full of good weather, orange and lemon trees. For producers who owed money on borrowed camera equipment if a creditor came after them, they could hide among the trees. It was a hard business full of causalities and took a pirate’s mentality to survive. Most of the studio heads were from poor backgrounds, with limited English skills and never forgot their childhood or a personal slight.

Included were Jack, Harry, Albert and Sam, the four Warner Brothers from Youngstown, Ohio. They had begun with showing movies off the side of a tent in Youngstown, borrowing all the chairs from the local undertaker. Every, three person tent
, time there was a funeral in Youngstown, they had to give all the chairs back and the film patrons were forced to stand.

As a boy Jack Warner wished to be a singer and a, three person tent
, comedian. His brothers, recognizing his lack of talent, three person tent
, instructed him to sing in the tent when they wanted the audience to leave. He was later advised that the money was not in performing, it was in paying performers. Among the stars that would be under contract to him would be Betty Davis, James Cagney, Humphrey, three person tent
, Bogart and Errol Flynn.

The silent days were a struggle for Warner Bros. Rin Tin Tin, a German shepherd that according to his publicity was born in a foxhole in World War I, was their biggest star. Heroic as he might have been on the screen, he proved to be, like many stars, cantankerous in person. Jack Warner took the dog on a publicity tour. As he introduced him to the crowd, his ungrateful employee bit him on the behind, leading to the dog’s dismissal.

It proved to be a prelude, three person tent
, to, three person tent
, Warner’s many future battles with stars.

Trying to make a name for themselves, the four brothers got great publicity by announcing that the renowned opera tenor Caruso would be arriving from Italy to make a film for them. They paid him 25,000 dollars and then put him in a silent movie.

The movie studios had the technology to make talking films years before they made them.

One of the reasons why they resisted the idea was that they didn’t want to risk losing their overseas market. Stars like Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford rarely ever had a flop as their films were shown around the world and knew no language barriers. But in 1926 the silent films faced their biggest competition with a new device called the radio. As movie attendance dwindled the studio heads shut their eyes and pretended the radio was not there.

But the Warners lead by the ambitious Sam, decided to push the envelope and try to save their sinking studio by experimenting with movie sound.

Sam purchased an experimental sound system called Vita-phone. They then acquired the rights to The Jazz Singer, a popular play about a young man who had a beautiful voice and is offered a Broadway career against the wishes of his Old World Jewish father.

In the play the son gave in to his father but the Warner’s, wishing to reach a wider audience, Americanized the story by having the son follow his own dreams. Star Al Jolson adlibbed the dialogue,”, three person tent
, Wait a minute, wait a minute you ain’t heard nothing, yet!” The Warner’s were only intending singing but at the last minute they impulsively kept the line in the film. The Jazz Singer received a standing ovation when it premiered in New York in 1927 and went on to make three and half million dollars at a time when admission costs 20 cents.

The sound revolution was under way!

Movie audiences had often been loud and noisy while watching silent films. Now the theater’s got quiet as people strained to hear every word. Movie Theater’s had to be rewired for sound,, three person tent
, costing major studios like Paramount and Fox millions of dollars. Movies now had to film mostly at night as any passing truck noise could ruin a sound recording.

” How boring!” said Mary Pickford. “At first we moved! Now everyone is standing, three person tent
, around, three person tent
, talking!” One enterprising actor was hired for one day’s work. When the director wasn’t looking he let a bunch of crickets loose on the set. It was five days before the crew could round up the chirping crickets, and the actor kept on hold received five times the paycheck.

Stephen Schochet is the author and narrator of the audiobooks “Fascinating Walt Disney” and “Tales Of Hollywood”. The Saint Louis Post Dispatch says,” these two elaborate productions are exceptionally entertaining.” Hear realaudio samples of these great, unique gifts at www.hollywoodstories.com.

Most of us look forward to our, canyon lake homes
, vacations, time away from work and our everyday lives. That precious vacation time takes forever to get here and seems to be over in an instant. We all want to hold on to those wonderful feelings and memories as long as we can,, canyon lake homes
, and one of the best ways to capture memories and impressions is through photography.

With the economy the way it is, many people are opting to spend their vacation time somewhere close to home, which often means driving instead of flying. Which is not a bad thing as traveling by automobile we tend to see a lot of interesting things along the way to and from our destinations. I was reminded of that, canyon lake homes
, when I recently perused some of the great landscape photography posted on the net.

Taking in the magical imagery of Richard Daniel DuBose, one of my favorite photographers, made me want to hop in my car and go on a trip.

From Alaska to Florida, every state has its own beautiful attractions. No matter where you are, you might find that you’re only a few hours drive from some of our nation’s most spectacular sites. The East Coast has the Atlantic Ocean, the Appalachian Mountains, the Catskills, a wide variety of national monuments and buildings, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Natchez Trace, the Rio Grande, and a wealth of historic national landmarks too numerous to mention.

If you drive through New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada, some of the must-see locations, canyon lake homes
, are the Aztec Ruins, Capulin Volcano, Petroglyph, the Gila Cliff Dwellings, Carlsbad Caverns, and the Salinas Pueblo Missions in New Mexico. Arizona’s outstanding places include the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Montezuma Castle, Havasu Canyon, Lake Powell, and Sunset Crater Volcano. Colorado’s great vistas include the Great Sand Dunes, Florissant Fossil Beds,, canyon lake homes
, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nevada has a lot to offer as well, including Lake Meade, Death Valley, and the Great Basin.

The Midwest has lots of interesting things to see, too. The Great Salt Lake, Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Bryce Canyon, Glacier National Park,, canyon lake homes
, Little Bighorn, Yellowstone National Park just to name a few. In the Pacific Northwest there’s Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, and the breathtaking shoreline of the Pacific.

Although all of these states have a lot to offer, the sites of California are numerous and grand. Just around, canyon lake homes
, San Francisco alone, you can spend, canyon lake homes
, a week seeing the great sites of Muir Woods, Point Reyes, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, and the Presidio, as well as the beautiful rocky coast of the ocean. The rest of the state of California has much to see as well.

Some of the most breathtaking views in all the land can be found at Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Mojave Desert, and Joshua Tree National Park.

The beautiful parks, shorelines, and monuments of our great land are some of the most photographed locations in the United States. From macro to wildlife to landscape photography, everyone can get involved capturing images they’ll remember for a lifetime.

Our vacations are meant to be time to recover from our day-to-day lives of rush hour traffic, suits, email, and time clocks. The memories we keep from our vacations are where we often retreat to when our everyday lives seem unbearable. Photography helps us to focus and create a touchable reality of the memories we make while on life’s journey.

Would you like to sell photos online at your own gallery? Send people to your very own web address to purchase the photos you’ve taken of them. There’s more than one way to go about it. Here we take a look at the benefits of building a photo website, using services designed for professional photographers.
Not long ago it would have been a major project starting your own photography business. My how things have changed.

Today, the new online photo services let you up load all of your photos, lake tahoe homes for sale
, to your own gallery and set your own prices. Shoot whatever you want and send your customers to your beautiful online gallery, to purchase the shots.
It’s the easy way to get your photos and video on line for family, friends and customers to view.

They can click to order any size, lake tahoe homes for sale
, prints or a variety of gifts like coffee mugs, sweatshirts, holiday cards etc… and you make money on every sale you set your own prices. So now you just upload the pictures and Aunt Alice can order what she wants and stop bugging you for copies! Get carried away, upload UNLIMITED photos with a click, shoot a million pictures if you want, you can’t out grow that! Your precious family heirlooms, safely stored in full resolution.

Download them anytime you want, because it’s a photo storage website too. Hey, backup is good right? Organizing photo albums could not be simpler with the easy to use tools these companies provide. As with everything each photo sharing website has its advantages, click on the link at the bottom of this ezinearticle to compare the different services.
One of the photo gallery website providers called Smugmug has teamed up with GoogleMaps to create SmugMaps, I would have named it smoogle maps, whatever you call it, it’s so cool! Install GoogleEarth, then click on the green GoogleEarth botton.

Then while your logged into your smugmug account click on the map, the photos you select are tagged to that spot and displayed for the world to see, promoting your art gallery. You can also SmugMap by typing in the street address or gps coordinates.
Are you an artist waiting to be discovered? Get your work out there today. Whether your shooting the local cheerleader squad or an expedition to Alaska.

Selling your photos is now very easy to do., lake tahoe homes for sale
, You don’t really want to go thru the hassle of setting up a merchants account to charge peoples credit cards do you? Good because you don’t have to! You don’t really want to print, trim, pack, address, ship, and provide customer service on each order do you? Good because you don’t have to. (if you answered yes, we have an opening for a lab tech) of course I’m just kidding, we don’t have time for all that, were out shooting more pictures to sell!
That’s right, now you actually have the time to go out and take lots and lots of pictures.

Go crazy you can take a million photos if you want. There’s no limit to number of photos that you can upload on some of the professional photo sharing web sites. Hey your goal oriented right? How long would it take you to shoot a million photos? Let’s see, this should be easier than figuring out the Tootsie Pop thing. If you shoot everyday for 10 years you’d have to shoot 274 pictures per day, because I don’t think you can take 2739 photos every day for a year!
Here are some suggestions on what to shoot:
1.

TAKING PICTURES ON VACATION
a) Museums and Historical Landmarks
b) National Parks and Monuments
c) City Skylines and Architecture
d) Amusement Parks
e) Back Roads and Byways
f) Scenic Overlooks
2. SCHOOL SPORTING EVENTS- Especially regional and state tournaments or championships. They are a goldmine, parents love pictures of their superstars. If you take a photo of each kid and then a team group picture, many of the parents will buy a few.

One for the house, one for grandma etc. When you add up all the kids from all the teams, you’re, lake tahoe homes for sale
, looking at hundred’s kids. The money starts adding up real quick.
a) Football Team Photo
b) Cheerleader Squad photo
c) Homecoming Activities
d) Regional & State Championships
e) Soccer, Wrestling, Swimming etc…
f) School Plays, Concerts and more
g) Little League Baseball
h) Soccer Teams
i) Basketball Teams
3.

LOCAL EVENTS- Check the local paper and see what’s happening in your area
a) Hot Air Balloon Races and Air Shows
b) Car Shows & Motorcycle Rally’s
c) Parades & Fireworks
d) County And State Fairs
e) Craft Shows
f) Trade shows
g) Concerts
h) Tail Gate Parties
4. BOY SCOUTS AND GIRL SCOUTS- Many kids don’t play soccer or basketball, they enjoy scouting, and they buy lots of pictures of the kids during scouting activities.

Just go around the event and shoot it up, try to get a nice posed photo of each scout, then a troop shot with the leaders. Make sure you get permission from the appropriate council.
a) Camp outs
b) Hikes
c) The Annual Jamboree
d) Pinewood derby
e) Fundraisers
5, lake tahoe homes for sale
, .PROPERTY- Real estate agents need quality photographs to promote their listed properties. Let your local agencies know your available on call and watch the cash start flowing in.

Architects need photos of the properties they design for many reasons. Show me the money!
a) Real Estate Agencies
, lake tahoe homes for sale
, b) Commercial Properties
c) Architectural Photography
d) Builders and Contractors
6. RECREATIONAL, lake tahoe homes for sale
, ACTIVITIES- This is my favorite, I live up in the mountains and we have a lot of these type of adventures available close by.

Folks on vacation sure like photos of themselves while participating in activities. If you have activities like these in your area, talk with a local outfitter, they are usually very receptive to the idea of photo souvenirs, because it promotes their service long after the adventure is over.
a) Whitewater River Rafting
b) Horseback Riding Outfitters
c) Ski Resorts
d) Snowmobile Trails
e) Golf Tournaments
7.

INSURANCE COMPANIES- Most insurance companies require documentation to reimburse policy holders for a loss. A photographic inventory of all items covered by the policy is recommended by insurance adjusters, this is a huge market.
a) Residential
b) Commercial
8. FAMILY PORTRAITS- Many families have a portrait done annually. I like to photograph the family during fun time, rather than a studio. I like to have a good time with them.

I always get better smiles and more interesting images on, lake tahoe homes for sale
, location. This year suggest doing the photo at an activity that the whole family enjoys participating in together “A family that plays together, stays together”
a) At home
b) In the studio
c) On location
d) Holiday Cards in October
9. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES- If I told you how much money you could make in one day photographing graduates, clubs, dances or homecoming activities, you wouldn’t believe me.

So I am going to let you find out for yourself., lake tahoe homes for sale
, Then you email me and tell me and I will believe it! Photographing some of the school events like graduation and plays should be done at a dress rehearsal prior to the actual event. Always make prior arrangements with the school before you shoot.
a) Graduation
b) School Plays
c) Dances
d) Marching Band
e) Homecoming
10.

STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY AGENCYS- there are many agencies that will purchase, lake tahoe homes for sale
, quality images to package and resell. Check stock photo agencies many of them accept freelance work.
Here’s how it goes. Take the photo, give the client a card with your photo gallery web site address on it. Up load the pictures to your gallery. They go to your website and pick out the ones they want and order prints or coffee mugs, whatever they want.

Then the photos are printed and shipped by the company that hosts your gallery. Then the company sends you a check. How much you make on each image is up to you. The Photo gallery hosting company charges you say, $1.99 for an 8″x 10″ print. You set your retail prices at 24.99 for the print. You just made $23.00. The magic happens when you use the intrinsic artistic value, to increase the value of an otherwise inexpensive piece of paper.

Most retailers wish they had a markup this good!
Once you get going, you will be lining up jobs at all sorts of events. Even taking photos while traveling and writing off your business expenses. If you really love photography you should consider your own gallery online.
When I got my gallery, I had so much fun thinking of creative titles for the galleries and getting all my pictures set up and organized.

For instance, I have one gallery that is a tribute to trees. Everytime I see a beautiful tree, I capture a picture and display it in a gallery that I named Treebute.
, from chants, shamanic healing (Luis Beth Nion) and the lunar calendrical math shown in the work of archaeologists like Alexander Marshack.

In fact I have shown that it includes binary math like the quipas even before recent research confirmed it. Here is a man who seems to see, lake link
, the same integration of spiritual and scientific knowledge and the choice of the name for his foundation is equally interesting. Mt. Meru is said to be from whence the Hindu people were taught their religion and I think my first published book (Diverse Druids) gave good evidences to show this is the Tarim Basin Kelts and their work.

This excerpt is taken from the World-Mysteries.com site and there is a link there to more of Mr. Tenen’s work at that excellent compendium of knowledge being gathered by a physicist/astronomer who has been most helpful to me and my work.
“The Meru Project is based on 30 years of research by Stan Tenen into the origin and nature of the Hebrew alphabet, and the mathematical structure underlying the, lake link
, sequence of letters of the Hebrew text of Genesis.

From the Introductory Text: ‘The Meru Project has discovered an extraordinary and unexpected geometric metaphor in the letter-sequence of the Hebrew, lake link
, text of Genesis that underlies and is held in common by the spiritual traditions of the ancient world. This, lake link
, metaphor models embryonic growth and self-organization. It applies to all whole systems, including those as seemingly diverse as meditational practices and the mathematics fundamental to physics and cosmology.

.. Meru Project findings demonstrate that the relationship between physical theory and consciousness, expressed in explicit geometric metaphor, was understood and developed several thousand years ago.’”
Ogham includes binary math taken into other alphabets that maintain and develop archetypes and constructs of energy. In Luis Beth Nion it is a medicinal usage that is highlighted. There are many tracts and roots for Ogham and I am not the only researcher who sees it is similar to the I Ching which may be derived from it through the Tarim Basin Red-Heads who we can now say are the people Lao Tzu went to meet as he neared the end of his life on Earth.

Chanting and other harmonic, lake link
, or clicking noises not unlike, lake link
, the whales are possibly the beginning of all language and ESP would have been more developed in pre-language times as well as what Plato noted about a writing alphabet leading to a loss of disciplined wisdom. The language development schools of the Phoenician Kelts all came from Ogham and it is widely acknowledged that Hebrew and other Mediterranean languages all came via the Phoenicians.

The Aymarแ language of Peru is developed by the Chachapoyas leaders of the Incas and earlier cultures there. These white Keltic people who were running Peruvian cocaine to Egypt before the time of Moses are the real, lake link
, nature of corporate or cultural history, which I cover in my book on that region. For that reason I need to provide some of the work related to what most,, lake link
, lake link
, people cannot fathom, lake link
, could be true.

I will leave it to the reader to verify Balabanova and her forensic court admissible proof of the cocaine mummies that Professor Martin Bernal of Rutgers also thinks is excellent, lake link
, evidence. You can also look to the Bas-relief in Lima that shows Kelts there in the pre-ceramic era. Let’s look at the work of Sister Serghetti of the Vatican for the matter of binary code or chaos science in these original sacerdotal codes or alphabets.

The Aymarแ Code:
Sister Serena Serghetti of the Franciscan Order is a great linguist and she used the Peruvian Aymarแ language in very interesting ways which support the theory that binary math was part of the ‘Quipas’, lake link
, (said to be able to keep poetry) and Ogham as a root for all languages which we have and will continue to touch upon. Another recent report from Steve Connor of The Independent says these things that confirm the following quotation.

“… a leading scholar of South American antiquity believes the Inca did have a form of non-verbal communication written in an encoded language similar to the binary code of today’s computers. Gary Urton, professor of anthropology at Harvard University, has re-analysed the complicated knotted strings of the Inca – decorative objects called khipu – and found they contain a seven-bit binary code capable of conveying more than 1,500 separate units of information, lake link
, .

“
This next quote, lake link
, is taken from a whistleblower site on the Web, the article dealt with Antarctica and some fishy things going on there at Lake Vostok, so please forgive the choppiness of my excerpting.
“But members of the archaeological community in the Near East point out that Serghetti is, lake link
, also one of the Vatican’s top linguists… Serghetti first made waves as a linguist in the late 1990s when she presented a universal translator software application at a United Nations Earth Summit.

Building on the work of Bolivian mathematician Ivan Buzman de Rojas, Serghetti used the ancient Aymarแ language of the Andes to translate English into more than 26 languages.
‘The rigid, logical structure of Aymarแ itself is ideal for transformation into computer algorithm,’ she said at the time. ‘Its syntactical rules can be spelled out in the kind of algebraic shorthand that computers understand.

‘
Since then the U.S. National Security Agency has been trying to get its hands on Serghetti’s system, according to one codebreaker from Britain’s MI-6 intelligence, lake link
, branch who tried and failed to recruit Serghetti. ‘The Aymarแ language is so pure that the NSA suspects it didn’t just evolve like other languages but was constructed from scratch,’ the MI-6 source said. {A Sacerdotal language like Hebrew, used by the university chaos science types?}
In fact, the earliest Aymarแ myth says that after the Great Flood, strangers attempted to build a city on Lake Titicaca — Tiahuanaco with its great Temple of the Sun – but suddenly abandoned it and disappeared, lake link
, .

According to legend, they came from the lost island paradise of “Aztlan,” the Aztec version of Atlantis. ‘In other words,’ said one Meso-American linguist, speaking on condition of anonymity, ‘Sister Serghetti may well know the language of the Atlanteans.’”
Every year folks from around the world head up to ski resorts for their winter vacation. Many of them will have their photos taken by the on-mountain professional photographer at the scenic overlook at the top of the mountain. The prints that they purchase will be taken home, framed and cherished as their most valuable possessions.
One of the most important factors, is being in the right place at the right time.

There are many variables to consider, such as deciding where to set up your photography shop on the mountain. Lets take a look at some.
The weather is a big factor in determining where the best zone is to photograph clients. Because, lake tahoe homes for sale
, the weather can change minute by minute, shooting zone flexibility is the key.

If your zone becomes fogged in, MOVE, it could be that 1000′ down the mountain the view is great.
The “hot zone” on a blue sky day is typically the best view from the top of the ski hill. When the weather is good you will capture the most pictures from the best scenic overlook on the mountain. Families, couples, singles and groups will ski right up and even wait in line on these picture perfect days.

Harvest the hay while the sun is shining. Do a good job with your groups, squeeze as much as you can out of each one by doing your breakdowns. By breakdowns I mean a group shot, then just the kids, then mom-n-dad, then individual photos of each kid. Work it, when they go to buy their pictures, the more you shoot the more they buy.
The hot zone on a snowy day is typically the most wind protected area of the mountain.

Another important factor when the weather is inclement is your backdrop, so, lake tahoe homes for sale
, if possibe pick a spot with beautiful trees for the background. The prettier the trees are, the better. People will definitely buy photos taken while it is snowing, especially if they have snow laden branches or are from areas like Florida where it doesn’t snow.
The time of the day may effect your zone choice too.

If there is a good view from the deck where everyone meets for lunch, it’s a great opportunity to get everyone while they are altogether and not zooming around the mountain. It can be a challenge getting folks to slow down long enough for a photo shoot, lake tahoe homes for sale
, . Try setting up at the on-mountain lodge (if it has a good view), particularly during the busy periods, like the holidays and spring break.

Try to set up in view of the outdoor eating area, so everyone sees you working, interested groups will come over to you. If it slows down, youcan go over and work the crowd.
At large ski areas where skiers only ride a particular lift once in the morning, just to get to the upper lifts. You can be busy in the morning, then really slows down when everybody’s up there skiing, so move.
Shadows and lighting change throughout the day and some locations can become completely unshootable in the afternoon.

A zone thats
hot at 2pm may not be by 3pm, as it gets swallowed up by the long afternoon shadows from the tall Mountains. Move to a spot with better light, people are getting tired and now they will slow down long enough for a quick shot.
If you work for a company that assigns you a specific zone to shoot and you have to shoot it hot or not, and at the moment, lake tahoe homes for sale
, it’s not.

Cover your zone the best you can, stay enthusiastic and energetic you will get something, and it could be the best money group of the day!
If you cover your zone, hot or not, your manager will be more likely to give you a hot zone on future assignments. Hone your photography skills and be dependable. You’ll start getting the best location.
I have been a top, lake tahoe homes for sale
, professional photographer at several western ski resorts including Vail and Breckenridge Colorado, Brighton, lake tahoe homes for sale
, Utah, Grand Targhee Wyoming and Heavenly California.

The season starts Thanksgiving and ends in April. I have exceeded $100,000 in sales in one season, a few times. Now I live in South Lake Tahoe, California and have been a photographer at Heavenly Resort for the last couple of seasons. Considered a vital link in a show’s promotional plan, direct marketing is vital only if it’s done right. It’s certainly not as simple as typing a letter, adding an address and stamp, and popping it in the mail. Direct marketing specialist Debbie Bermont, president of San Diego-based Source Communications, offers her golden rules for creating that vital, highly successful direct marketing campaign.

There are some key golden rules to making your direct mailings work effectively.

That doesn’t mean that you have to spend more money in order to succeed. Far from it. In fact, you could find yourself spending less — or at least spending more strategically — than you may, lake link
, be doing at present. Here’s how:

Mail to Mr. Right

There’s, lake link
, a simple but very clear distinction between junk mail and direct mail.

Junk mail is mail that isn’t wanted. Direct mail is something that goes to the right person and is wanted, lake link
, . One major key to the success of your direct mailing is to find the right people to mail to. If you are working on a follow-up, lake link
, show, then targeting the people who signed up last year would, lake link
, be a good place to start. If it’s a new show or a new list, your first job is to start with a research phone call to find out who that right person is.

Even if you’re using last year’s list, it is still worth a telephone call to check that your information is up to date. Don’t ever rely on anyone passing your mailer on — it just won’t happen.

Boost Your Letter

Once you’ve found out who to send your letter to, your next step is to make sure that your letter works to its maximum effect. Write it as a one-on-one dialogue. Beware of, lake link
, using industry lingo that your prospect may not understand.

Keep your paragraphs short and sweet — no more than seven lines. Break up your letter into clearly defined subheads. And keep it to two pages in length.

Make All Your Copy Benefit-Oriented

List the benefits so they are easy to understand. And remember that a benefit is a lot different than a feature. Features do not have the clout that benefits do. For example, stating, lake link
, that “10,000 people attended our show last year” is merely a feature.

Write it in the context of a benefit: “You can have the opportunity of making 10,000 qualified contacts in three days,” and you’ll start making the impact that you want.

Repeat your offer at least three times throughout your letter: in your headline, within the first two, lake link
, paragraphs, and again in your closing paragraph. You can also include it in a “p.s.” Last, but not least,, lake link
, tell your prospects what the next step is and tell them to do it today.

Also include details of where to go for more information. Your goal should be for the recipients to immediately respond to your letter, lake link
, in a positive way.

Make an Impact

Your mail piece must stick out from all the, lake link
, rest. Yours will, lake link
, not be the only piece of direct mail that lands on your prospects’ desks today. The more you can do to catch their attention, peak their curiosity, and urge them to open the packet, the better.

One particularly effective way of doing this is to make your packet lumpy. For example, you can include Post-it notes or candy (but never candy that could melt!). Make it even more appealing by relating your insert to your offer or your message. For example, insert a bite-sized Pay, lake link
, Day candy bar along with the message, “Every day’s a Pay Day when you, lake link
, exhibit at the ABC Show!” Another idea is to affix large plastic aspirin capsules to your mailer with the message “Don’t let this be another headache for you!” Or include a card with a telephone ringing along with the note “Give us a call today!”

Whatever your insert, make your message clear, make it novel, make it fun, make it useful, and make it one that leaves a warm fuzzy feeling — not confetti.

All that does is leave a mess!

Too Good to Miss

Create an offer that can’t be refused. This may be a limited time offer (the expiration should never be longer than 60 days), or an offer that sets you apart from your competition, such as a better location or a bigger booth size with early sign up. Whatever the offer, the incentive has to be sufficiently appealing to inspire immediate action.

Remember that there’s no point in offering, lake link
, an outstanding incentive if no one knows about it.

So in your direct mail piece, make this offer clear, easy to understand, easy to respond to, and relevant for your audience.

Easy Does It

Make it as simple as possible for your prospect to respond to you. The most effective option is a fax-back form with quick and, lake link
, easy response sections. Other possibilities are a toll-free telephone number, a postage-paid reply card, or a Web site.

The Web site might not necessarily be your direct response tool, but, lake link
, it is certainly very effective as an additional interactive vehicle for obtaining more information about the show.

Follow up by Phone

Whatever you send out, make sure you follow it up with a telephone call to close the, lake link
, sale. You’ll see single digit response rates quickly turn into double digits as a result.

Whoever makes those phone calls must be professional, courteous, and well-informed of the details of the show and the benefits of exhibiting.

Printing Essentials

There are plenty of ways to save money, time, and mistakes when it comes to your direct mail bottom line — and all without compromising quality or quantity. Here are a few ideas to consider:

- Save money with a printer. Pick a printer that will work with you — not necessarily the,, lake link
, lake link
, one that offers the lowest bid.

If you don’t, you could end up sacrificing both quality and money.

- Get at least three estimates from three different reputable printers.

- Ask to see samples of their printing quality.

- Remember that you can always negotiate a price (typically between 10 percent and 20 percent off of the price they first quote you).

- For small print jobs buy your paper at a discount paper warehouse and avoid the printer’s markup.

- Always supply a very detailed, lake link
, purchase order that includes all the details that could be problems: price quoted, ink colors, paper specs, space requirements, quantity, etc.

- Make sure that you see a final proof before the job is printed.

- When possible, supply the printer with a sample of your final art as a guideline.

Mailing Tips

Not only does a little know-how help with your printing procedures,, lake link
, but in your mailing too.

If you want to save dollars, use third-class or bulk rate. You can save more than 70 percent of your postage cost if you can afford the slight time delay that bulk rate demands. Deliverability of bulk rate mail is between three and 10 days, but depending on the city, it can be just as fast as first-class.

Make up a sample package in the early stages of your preparation and take it down to your post office to check that it will go through the mail system without any problems.

You don’t want to find this out after you have printed 30,000 pieces!

Consider using a mail house to handle and, lake link
, sort your volume work. It can save an enormous amount of your time for a relatively low fee.

Concerned about the image of mailing bulk rate?

You can buy third-class stamps, which make a much better impact than a metered bulk rate mark.

What’s the key to your direct mail?

It’s the synergistic effect of multiple hits — whether that’s by mail, telephone, e-mail, broadcast fax, or an inexpensive postcard reminder — which will ultimately make the impact and make the sale.

What else could be a refreshing break from all the hard-core crime solving drama than a little bit, lake link
, of romance? CSI fans have come to love (and hate?) the love-thing going on between the two major characters on the show, Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) and tonight’s, lake link
, episode, which is tagged by CBS as “the moment GSR [Grissom Sara Romance] fans have been waiting for,” will finally shed some light, lake link
, on the fate of the star-crossed lovers.

Over the seasons of CSI, fans have become drawn to the chemistry of Gil and Sara, but there are some who believe that the show is deviating from what it’s all about, which is the mysteries and crime solving drama, not romance.

Tonight’s episode entitled “The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp” features Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and Sara Sidle’s (Jorja Fox) relationship encountering a crossroad, lake link
, which might change their lives forever, as Gil pops the question, or in this case, the statement: “Maybe we should get married.

“

Will Sara say “yes?” Many speculate the opposite as FOX had already confirmed (around a hundred times) that she will be leaving the CSI for good after her long seven-year stint. However, it, lake link
, is still a mystery on how their love story will come to an end, especially given the, lake link
, fact that writers say it was “smartly done.”

CBS has already released a promotional clip, completely suggesting that tonight’s episode will have Sara and Gil at the center of all things.

Nonetheless, CSI will still be following the team as they crack the case involving the death of a young man whose body looks like a female.

Directed by Alec Smight, “The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp” features Ronnie Lake (Jessica Lucas), Lynn Towne (Gail O’Grady), David Phillips (David Berman), and Archie Johnson (Archie Kao) among the list of guest stars.

Catch, lake link
, CSI tonight at 9pm ET/PT on CBS.
