In American English, a purse is a small bag, also called a handbag or a pocketbook. In British English, a purse is a small money container similar to a wallet, but typically used by women and including a compartment for coins, with a handbag being considerably larger; indeed, a purse is often kept in a handbag. A purse or handbag, Sports Bags, is often fashionably designed, typically used by women, and is used to hold items such as wallet, keys, tissues, makeup, a hairbrush, cellular device or personal digital assistant,, Sports Bags, feminine hygiene products, or other items The word purse is derived from the Latin bursa, from the Greek ?

????, meaning oxide. Purses are usually carried by women, though men sometimes carry one as a smaller alternative to a backpack; such a purse is sometimes termed a mares or man bag (portmanteaus “man” with “purse” and “handbag” respectively). It can also be called a man-purse. Such bags are often similar or identical to messenger bags Types of handbags  Satchel , Sports Bags,  Satchel is a large bag with small handle that is carried on the arm rather than on the shoulder.

Satchel is used to carry books, and other objects in. It has one, sometimes two, large straps that goes over one shoulder and across the body. Many students use them at universities and colleges. Like all bags, satchels are easily customized with patches and various other creative textiles  Duffle: A duffel bag (or, Sports Bags, duffle bag) is a large cylindrical bag made of cloth with the closure at the top, often also referred to as a kit bag or gym bag.

The name comes from Duffel, a town in Belgium where the thick cloth used to make, Sports Bags, the bag originated. More recently, a duffel bag typically refers to the specific style of bag, though the phrase may also be used to refer to any large generic hold all or a bag made of thick fabric. It is often used to carry luggage or sports equipment by, Sports Bags, people who travel in the outdoors.

Duffel bags are also often used by military personnel. When used by sailors, they are sometimes called sea bags in this capacity. Â Tote: A tote bag is a large handheld bag or purse that is used to carry things, such as books,, Sports Bags, beach wear, or everyday items. A tote bag is normally made of treated canvas, nylon or heavy pebbled leather. Some totes come with a zipper compartment that divides the bag into sections.

The term tote, meaning “to carry” can be traced back to the 17th century but was not used to describe bags until 1900 Messenger bagÂ, Sports Bags, A messenger bag (also called a courier bag) is a type of sack, usually made out of some kind of cloth (natural or synthetic), that is worn, Sports Bags, over one shoulder with a strap that winds around the chest resting the bag on the lower back. Messenger bags are often used by bicycle messengers, though they are increasingly becoming an urban fashion icon.

Sling bagÂ: LEATHER , LEATHER WALLETS , LEATHER HAND BAGS , LEATHER PURSES , LEATHER MOTORCYCLING TOOL BAGS , LEATHER MOTORCYCLING SADDLE BAGS, STYLISH LEATHER WALLETS, SLING BAGS, MASSENGER BAGS, TOTE BAGS Â A sling bag, Sports Bags, is a type of bag that is worn over one shoulder with a strap that winds around, Sports Bags, the chest resting the bag on the lower back. Although they are similar to a Messenger bag, sling bags are often smaller and are worn in a slightly different way.

Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) and its Effects In recent years there has been considerable discussion and concern about the possible hazards of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), including both RF (Radio Frequency) energy and power frequency (50-60 Hz) electromagnetic fields. All life, wireless radar detector, on Earth has adapted to survive in an environment of weak, natural low-frequency electromagnetic fields (in addition to the Earth’s static geomagnetic field).

Natural low-frequency EM fields come from two main sources: the sun and thunderstorm activity. But in the last 100 years, man-made fields at much higher intensities and with a very different spectral distribution have altered this natural EM background in ways that are not yet fully understood. It has been known since the early days of radio that RF energy can cause interference in most of the wireless operated systems and in devices which process extremely low power signals associated with control systems and in medical equipments.

Very high density of Electromagnetic Fields have been known to have resulted in injuries by heating body tissue. These heat-related health hazards are called thermal effects. In addition, there is evidence that magnetic fields may produce biological effects at energy levels too low to cause body heating. The proposition that these thermal effects may produce harmful health consequences has produced a great deal of research.

Human body nervous system is also known to work on extremely low intensities of electrical signals. Very little has been done to investigate the effect of Electromagnetic Fields on the human nervous and control system which as such leaves a lot of scope for future research.Potential Sources of EMR The list could be endless starting with seemingly harmless AC (alternating current) operating devices to all the intentional and non- intentional transmitters.

Appreciable radiation occurs as the size of the components and connecting wires approaches one tenth of the wavelength of the operating frequency. The intensity of the field so radiated also depends on the power handled, wireless radar detector, by the device. To name a few tube lights, spark, wireless radar detector, plugs, washing machines, music systems, power amplifiers, computers, lifts, air conditioners, cable TV, computer screen etc all fall in the category of non-intentional transmitters but can be potential source of Electromagnetic Radiations.

All radio and TV broadcasting systems, telecommunication systems and equipments, RADARS, mobile phones etc are intentional transmitters of Electromagnetic Radiations and may result in typical effects on various systems in addition to causing serious interference problems and affecting human body. With ever increasing use of modern digital technology in almost all the modern processing and communication, wireless radar detector, equipments the threat of unintentional Electromagnetic Radiation is further enhanced.

As all digital signals positively have a very large bandwidth, its increasing use will result in Electromagnetic Radiations in almost all the frequency ranges there by leaving a possibility of affecting most of electronic devices and also human beings. Some Typical Effects of EMRElectromagnetic Interference: Interference is the energy levels introduced by electronic or communications systems that have a detrimental effect on other systems.

Any electronic system is capable of receiving Electromagnetic Radiations if the size of the components or connecting wires approaches one tenth of frequency that may be present in the surrounding environment due to any intentional or unintentional transmitter. Depending on the intensity of this unwanted received radiation there could be instances of malfunctioning of the device receiving this energy.

There have been number of instances where such a condition had resulted in catastrophic failure of the equipments. The most famous example is the failure of the Electronic surveillance system installed at one of the ships of United Kingdom Naval forces during Falkland war due to operation of its own Radar system installed on the same warship. As a result of this only one system could be operated, wireless radar detector, at one time resulting in the loss of the ship.

Intentional Jamming of the radio receivers by the security, wireless radar detector, and police forces is the utilization of this effect to make the enemies receivers inoperative, however it can also happen, wireless radar detector, due to unwanted and unintentional Radiation of Electromagnetic, wireless radar detector, fields.Effects on Human Body: Body tissues that are subjected to very high levels of RF energy may suffer serious heat damage.

These effects depend upon the frequency of the energy, the power density of the RF field that strikes the body, and even on factors such as the polarization of the wave. At frequencies near the body’s natural resonant frequency, RF energy is absorbed more efficiently, and maximum heating occurs. In adults, this frequency usually is about 35 MHz if the person is grounded, and about 70 MHz if the person’s body is insulated from the ground.

Also, body parts may be resonant; the adult head, for example is resonant around 400 MHz, while a baby’s smaller head resonates near 700 MHz. Body size thus determines the frequency at which most RF energy is absorbed. As the frequency is increased above resonance, less RF heating generally occurs. However, additional longitudinal resonances occur at about 1 GHz near the body surface. Health Care Engineering: Is electromagnetic Interference (EMI) becoming a problem in the healthcare environment?

Although electrical interference in hospitals is often regarded as no more than a minor nuisance, there are documented cases in which equipment failures due to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) have lead to injury or death. Some examples fare as follows: – • In 1992, a patient attached to a monitor-defibrillator, wireless radar detector, in an ambulance died because of interference from the ambulance radio prevented the machine from working (1).

• In 1987, patient monitoring systems failed to sound alarms because of interference; two patients died as a result (2). • In 1993, a patient fitted with a pacemaker went into ventricular fibrillation shortly after being scanned with a metal detector outside a courtroom (2). As in many other fields, the amount and complexity of electronics in hospitals and other medical environments is increasing year by year.

Despite this, the number of reported incidents of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) problems fortunately does not appear to be growing. This is probably, wireless radar detector, because most manufacturers and, wireless radar detector, designers of medical electronic products have developed a good awareness of EMC. Pacemakers are typical examples, where their design with respect to compactness, wireless radar detector, and immunity to radio frequency interference has greatly improved over the years.

Nowadays, pacemakers are very reliable, but can still fail under extreme conditions. Pacemakers have failed in patients undergoing electro surgery (2) and in other cases where patients kept mobile phones in their chest pockets, a few centimeters from the pacemaker leads (3). The powered Wheelchair is another typical example: there are many stories of radio frequency interference. (RFI) from mobile phones or police ‘walkie-talkies’ causing the wheelchair to drive itself and its occupant into traffic.

These stories are based on real occurrences; reports of incidents in the USA in the early 1990s prompted the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate the problem and recommend that the manufacturer change the design to give an immunity of at least 20V/m to RFI. The use of many items of electronics equipment in close proximity in the hospital environment means that the same sort of EMC problems are encountered as with other types of electronic products.

However there are some special features of the hospital EM environment: • Failure of medical devices can lead to injury or death. • Some equipment found in hospitals is intentionally designed to emit electromagnetic energy, often for therapy. Other equipment, which may be located nearby, is designed to detect very small physiological signals. This combination has the potential to create EMC Problems.

• Also in hospitals, there is the question of whether to ban or restrict the use of mobile phones. They improve communications but can interfere with critical equipment. • Many medical devices are connected directly, wireless radar detector, to patients. For mains-powered devices, the designer must prevent electric shock as well as ensure EMC. Electronic equipment is constantly evolving, so there is always the possibility of new problems arising, e.

g. interference, wireless radar detector, from new types of mobile communications devices. Remedial Measures:Ensuring EMC of the devices/ components: Electromagnetic compatibility describes a state in which the electromagnetic environments produced by natural phenomena and by other electrical and electronic devices do not cause interference in electronic equipment and systems of interest. In order to reach this state, it is necessary to reduce the emissions from sources that are controllable, or to increase the immunity of equipment that may be affected, or to do both.

To try to eliminate all possibility of interference by decreasing emissions and increasing immunity further could incur a high cost to industry and could prevent new technologies from emerging. For example, a restriction lowering the transmitting power of cellular telephones so that consumers could place their cell phones on top of any electronic equipment might compromise the performance and economic viability of such communication systems.

On the other hand, a requirement that all commercial electronic equipment, wireless radar detector, perform without malfunction at ambient levels of 50 V/m would place a financial burden on manufacturers of a large range of equipment. The following are some of the techniques used to counter the effects of EMI:Source Elimination: An effective technique to eradicate interference is through identification and elimination of the source.

In theory, this represents arguably the most effective of any measures, but is not practical in most situations, whereas this would require the source to be periodically or permanently disabled from operation. Grounding a grounding point represents a common reference point for a device or multiple devices that functions to ensure the safety or the equipment and operator, and its effects provide some immunity to noise and interference.

Certain transmission and other Electronic equipment require adequate grounding to ensure proper operation. The Conductor used to ground the equipment should be the shortest necessary length to avoid a ground loop condition. This could result in energy transfer through conduction to connected devices.Filters The use of filters allows selected frequencies to pass through to the connected device, while rejecting or attenuating any frequencies that are outside the filter specifications.

Examples of filters include low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass.Shielding, wireless radar detector, . An effective manner used to minimize, and in some instances eliminate, EMI is to effectively shield components from interaction with electromagnetic energy. This technique is often expensive and causes major design engineering challenges, especially to fully shield a device, which requires that conductive material completely enclose, wireless radar detector, the equipment or circuitry.

Any separation in the shielding material reduces the effectivenessOf the shielding technique.ConclusionWith ever increasing use of the spectrum due to modern communication equipments and also use of latest digital processing, wireless radar detector, techniques for most of the devices there is a need for laying down the guidelines for, wireless radar detector, Emission standards. The extent of the spurious radiation by any device should be limited to the extent possible without increasing the cost of the product.

Various governmental and nongovernmental agencies must come forward at national and international level to coordinate and standardize the permissible radiation limits REFERENCES(1)Banana Skins’, UK EMC Journal, vol. 15,, wireless radar detector, p. 8, February 1998.(2)Healthcare Engineering: Latest Developments and Applications; I Mech E, London, 25-26 Nov 2003 and Jeffrey L Silberberg, ‘Performance degradation of electronic medical devices due to Electromagnetic Interference Compliance Engineering vol.

[Note:, three person tent, This story is not a criticism of Buddhism. It is a story of neighborly love.]
Introduction
He was the least likely of neighbors to do this thing, a Buddhist turned Roman Catholic, patriarch of a California wine-growing, three person tent, clan.
I was a Southern Baptist youth, only recently learned how to shave, and served in the new “Korean War” as a sailor.

You know the rashness of youth. I wondered aloud, “How is it, three person tent, that you, a Japanese Buddhist, came to be sending your son to Mary Knoll Seminary to become a Catholic, three person tent, priest?”
The lesson he taught me about the important business of being, three person tent, a, three person tent, good neighbor has not been lost for more than fifty years. Here’s his story in his own words.

The Patriarch’s Story
At the beginning of World War II, I was struggling whether to enlist in military service. My struggle was not because I was Nisei. It was because I had a wife. I had three small children. How might I best serve my country, care for my young family, and manage my new vineyards?, three person tent, Even at home, I was struggling to maintain them. What would happen if I left to join the service?
I might well not have worried.

At 10:00 a.m. one morning three Military Police arrived at my home in a covered truck. They pounded on my door. They entered my house without permission.
“Pack one overnight bag for your family,” the leader told me. “Be quick about it!”
By 10:15 a.m. my family and I were in the back of the truck. We were on our, three person tent, way to what was called a “relocation center.” It was far from my own neighborhood.

I never had time to call a neighbor, Nor was I allowed to contact anyone to tell them what was happening.
By evening we were in a fenced enclosure. It was to be our home until the end of the war.
He sipped his wine. I was a teetotaler, but because I was a guest in his house, and didn’t want to make a fuss, I had accepted a glass. I tentatively sipped a swallow and set the glass down.
“The wine is not good?” he had asked.

“Too good,” I had answered. “If I get started, I might not be able to stop.”
He smiled and nodded knowingly. He continued his story.
When we returned after the war-all Nisei returned to the area-we found our homes gone. Our businesses gone. Sold for taxes to our neighbors. The first year we were gone.
I couldn’t believe it. All the vines I had labored so arduously to plant, to nurture. All the contracts I had so carefully negotiated with the distillery.

The home my wife and I had so lovingly remodeled. Evenings when it was too dark to work the vineyards. Gone!
We could lay claim to no part of our former possessions-property, furniture, jewelry. Nothing.
I walked the city streets in disbelief. I wondered how I could ever start over again. We were still despised as “Japs.” By both the local population and former neighbors. Finding even the most menial work was unlikely,
I was in tears.

What would I tell my wife?
But she knew. Surely she already knew. Something of this magnitude could not be hidden.
Perhaps in another part of the country I could get a job as a gardener.
“You know, lots of rich folks love to have a Japanese gardener,” he said bitterly.
I looked around. Invaluable appointments. Lovely brocaded furniture. Priceless wall hangings. Luxurious carpets. What did he mean by “rich folks.

“
He sighed at the memory of his misery. He took another sip of wine. He continued.
As I stood there, tears in my eyes, someone called my name. I turned to face the voice. It was my old neighbor. He was a vineyard owner on the land next to mine-next to the land that used to be mine.
I had helped him, three person tent, irrigate his vines by hand one year when the drought threatened our crops. He had helped me choose the best stock to plant when I had first started.

I thought we had been good neighbors.
When I returned to the area, I found that it was he who had bought my property. For taxes. My own neighbor! I tried to hide my bitterness.
“I didn’t know you were back,” my former neighbor told me. “Where’s your family?”
I told him. I explained there had been an addition since I left. He grinned and led me to his sedan.
“Hop in,” he said.
I couldn’t believe that this backstabbing neighbor could have the gall to act so friendly.

I don’t know why, but I climbed in. He babbled happily, as if to a long-lost friend,, three person tent, as he drove to where my family was.
“Go get ‘em. Get ‘em all. I want to see the young’ns. And I have something I want to show you.”
We picked up my family and left. I recognized the route.
Two of my boys were in the front seat with me. The oldest, the seminarian from Mary Knoll, suddenly cried out.

“Father! This is the road to our house!”
I thought the grin on my old neighbor’s face was especially wicked. Why are you doing this? I wondered, three person tent, . Why are you torturing us this way?
We drove up to our old home. It looked well kept. Even lovingly cared for. Who lives here now? I wondered.
He jumped out and opened the car doors. He led us into the house and into this room where we are now sitting.

Everything was, three person tent, as we had left it. My wife lovingly ran her hand over the back of that teakwood table. The dust of years had not settled in. The carpets had been faithfully vacuumed. The windows regularly washed. The furniture carefully polished. Whoever lived here now must love the house as much as we did.
Seeing how carefully everything had been maintained, I couldn’t be too angry with my neighbor.

After all, purchase, three person tent, of my property had been a business deal for him. I’m sure it wasn’t anything personal.
The old man took another sip of wine. He pointed at an elaborately carved, small desk with a drop down front that stood against a wall. He went on with his story.
My neighbor took me to that desk and, three person tent, opened a drawer. He took out a handful of papers and handed them to me.

They were the deeds and ownership documents for my house and business.
I glanced at them, wondering how any one human being could be so heartless as to gloat before a family that had fallen to the depths I had reached.
“Look at them, read, three person tent, them,” he said when he noticed I simply stood there, stupidly holding them in my hand.
When I did, my heart stopped. My name was on the first paper I looked at.

With trembling hand I looked at another. My name. And another. And another. On every document. My name. Just my name. Not his, not even as co-owner.
He unlocked the drop down front and opened a drawer inside. He took out a bankbook and handed it to me. I scanned it. I could not believe my eyes. The balance had increased significantly each year while I was gone.
“Business was good during the war,” he told me.

“My only problem was finding labor to do the work. But I managed.”
“But- – -but these are your profits,” I told him. I shoved the bank book toward him. “Here. Take it. It’s your money.”
He laughed. “Naw. Your farm helped me. When we added our properties together, I got more ration coupons for gas. Negotiated better contracts with the distillery. Generally did better business. You won’t believe this.

When I broke down the tax bill, even that was less. Naw. I got my pay. This is all yours.”
I couldn’t believe, three person tent, my ears. I wept openly. My wife and I hugged each other and cried. Finally, I looked at my old friend.
The old patriarch looked at me and said, “You want to know why I’m sending my son to seminary to become a Christian priest? Well, here’s why. I asked my neighbor, ‘Why did you do all this for me? After all, we were only neighbors’, three person tent, .

That’s where you’re wrong,” he told me. “You see, in my faith we are all God’s children. We are brothers, you and me.

This Week’s bizben.com Tip For Successfully SELLING A California Business:

Get The Business You Are Selling Pre-Qualified For Financing

You are probably saying “that is the buyers responsibility to do this!” You couldn’t be more wrong. This is a critical step in insuring that possible buyers can get financing in the first place to buy the business.

This is highly important, since if a buyer can’t get financing from a lending institution that means the owner will have to take back a note, or sell the note after it sells for a discount etc. By doing this step early you will know what some very important options will be for potential business buyers without a lot of time being wasted – and TIME KILLS DEALS! Get this step done before you go to market – take your package of info to multiple lending sources – find them at www.

Leather wristbands & bracelets started to come into popularity about 3 or 4 years ago. Celebrities started to wear them. Slowly, the general population started, mens cuff watch
, to wear them a little. Soon, they become no longer an accessory that was gothic or extreme, the more conservative leather wristbands and bracelets were becoming common among people with many different fashion tastes.

Leather cuff watches are a related accessory to leather wristbands. Cuff watches are leather band, mens cuff watch
, watches with wide leather bands, usually about 1.5-3 inches wide. About 3 years ago, there were about 100 cuff watches available for sale on ebay. As their popularity increased over the last 3 years, there are now over 3500 cuff watches available for sale on ebay.
Leather wristbands, cuffs and cuff watch bands have become a fashion necessity these days.

Nowadays, there are many celebrities with all kinds of different fashion tastes who wear them. Leather bands is an accessory that has gone from having an extreme or punk stigma, to being completely necessary to mainstream fashion.
Leather wrist accessories are no longer popular with just men. Women are wearing them almost as much as the men now. There are women’s leather cuff watches and leather bracelets available in most clothing stores now.

There are many different kinds of leather bands available in stores now. For women, colored leather or suede bracelets and watch bands are popular. For men, it is popular for the bands to be a little wider,, mens cuff watch
, 2 inches or more. With a leather wristband or cuff watch band, it is popular now for the band to have a lot of texture, layers of leather, stitching or weaving.
Also, it has become quite popular for people to have their initials, name or a phrase engraved into the leather.

There are many places available, mens cuff watch
, online that can do that now.
Three years ago, leather wrist accessories became available online with a much better selection than what was available in most retail stores. The retail, mens cuff watch
, stores had quite a delay before they figured out what people really wanted in a leather band.
I spotted the leather wristband and cuff trend about 3 years ago and could see the online selections keeping pace with the demand, but it took about another year or two before the retail stores started to come out with what the customers were really looking, mens cuff watch
, for in a leather band.

In my opinion, most retail stores are still working on figuring out what is popular. I don’t, mens cuff watch
, think they have quite figured it out yet. I think the selection for leather bands is much better online than what is available in retail stores.
I see this leather wristband, cuff and cuff watch band trend as being one that will not die anytime soon. I see the styles evolving and changing, even now.

I think the styles will continue to change over the years, but, I think the popularity of leather wristbands & wide leather cuffs is here to stay, at least for the next decade or two.
I don’t believe it is impossible to succeed in business without an advertising and marketing budget. How much you need to spend will depend on your business and your industry. If you are a retail shop then a certain amount, freeway insurance
, of advertising will be necessary, perhaps. If you are a service business, you may need to spend some money on marketing.

In the construction industry, for example, you are likely to know people in the industry before you start your own business, and a few telephone calls to a few acquaintances may be all that is necessary to get the ball rolling. After that maintaining contact with as many industry people as possible could get you all you the business you want.In fact, I would encourage a small business, regardless of the amount of money they have available, to leverage their friends, family and acquaintances.

Make a list of everyone you know (or, more importantly, who knows you), call these people and ask for their help – tell them briefly about your business (in no more than 20 seconds) and ask them who they know who could help you get started or expand. Ask your friend to speak to their friend and tell them something about you, then call your friend’s friend and ask *them* if they know someone who could help you.

As, freeway insurance
, long as you are asking, freeway insurance
, for help, you are likely to get help, freeway insurance
, . Start selling and trying to get an order and people clam up. That sort of thing makes it a cold call and, freeway insurance
, people don’t like cold calls these days. But ask for, freeway insurance
, their help and people are less likely to blow you off. If they can help you, they wll pass you on.

If they want what you have to offerf, they will tell you, “Hey! I need some of that. Come and see me!”I guess you could call it networking – I call it leveraging. Here’s some other simple ideas ……….* Good Base Materials (business cards, brochures, flyers, website) are the first thing I would invest in.* Then Public Relations (Press Releases & Other Media Marketing, local Chamber of Commerce, community events/activities)* Establishing great lead generation (special reports, listbuilding, customer referral programs) For most small businesses these activities can be done for relatively low cost .

… and can create enough of a return to start costlier marketing efforts. For, freeway insurance
, example ……1. Business Cards – To get 250 or, freeway insurance
, 500 business cards, even if they are just black and white with your name and address and business, freeway insurance
, details, should cost less then $50. Give, freeway insurance
, them to everyone you meet. If you think that someone you meet may know someone who needs your services .

… then give them two and ask that they pass it on to someone else who they think may need your services.2. Flyers – If this seems like a suitable means of advertising for your business it can be done for very little. Copies can be had for about 6cents a page or less, in black and white. So for 500 A4 flyers this is $30., freeway insurance
, Or do A5 and get twice as many for half the price. Getting them, freeway insurance
, into mailboxes or hung on doors is another thing.

But sometimes you need to invest a little time to get some return. Later on it may be smarter to pay someone else to drop them off. But if you are really scrapping for dollars …. doing it yourself is low cost.3. Public Notice boards – Many shopping center’s have public notice boards. Some require that you use provided cards to write your message on. Others allow whatever to be put up. While sometimes they start to look messy, it can be a way to get your name out a little more.

4. Classifieds – Often it can be quite expensive to buy display ad space in newspapers. However placing a classified add can be relatively cheap. Most papers have a section that has business categories, and you can advertise in the most relevant category. It is lower cost, and you may be advertising alongside other people in the same type of business, but I think the response to a lot of classifieds are pot luck mostly anyway.

5. Adwords – While many people do send hundreds or thousands of dollars per day on adwords marketing, It is by far the lowest cost way to get into search results (admittedly to the side and not always at the top) and take advnatage of online markets. But if you have a fairly low, freeway insurance
, competition market, spending $1 per day at 9cents a click is hardly going to kill you. That is just $30 per month, assuming that you use the full $1 budget each day.

6. Joint Ventures (partnering) – A small business could also partner with other small businesses. For example, a retail store could partner, freeway insurance
, with two of their business neighbors. They could promote a special event together in the local newspaper. Say a 1/4 page ad costs $300 and they want to run the ad for three days prior to the big event. If one business were to do this it would cost them $900 but by partnering with the other two businesses it only costs each business $300.

This would get them three days worth of ads at the cost of just one day …. and their event becomes even bigger by being part of a multi-store event potentially drawing in the other stores customers as well as their own.7. Creative Marketing – Take full advantage of YouTube and start your own very free and very noticeable viral marketing campaign. All you need is the default Windows Movie Maker, perhaps, freeway insurance
, a few sound clips of yourself (or video clips) talking about your business and images that give the viewer, freeway insurance
, a proper and clear visual as to what you are trying to sell, promote, etc.

Having a few of your blogging friends add your logo or banner to their website wouldn’t hurt,, freeway insurance
, either, that way two or three keywords pertaining to your business could be added to their site header, freeway insurance
, making their blog show up in more results, meaning your ad would be given a wider audience. Everyone wins. Search the web for radio stations that only broadcast, freeway insurance
, online, and check out how much they charge for advertising, freeway insurance
, plugs on-air.

8. Give-Aways, freeway insurance
, – T-shirts, buttons, magnets, mugs, bumper stickers,, freeway insurance
, car door magnets and anything that the average person uses daily is another great way to promote. Spend a small part of your budget on any of the above and hand them out for free. You’ll be remembered for it, and gain profits. What’s the best free or low cost marketing approach (OK … in my opinion)? The best and cheapest way to market a business is to use ones existing customers fully .

… simply give them a “How’s things?” call every other month or two and you’ll be surprised at how much extra business this generates. You should also ask all customers …. once you have fulfilled your promises to them …. for a couple of referrals. Ensure that they are good referrals and you’re closing average will be above average. Here is a real world example of one small businnesses experience .

…..My wife needed some work done on her car but didn’t want to pay the high price quoted, freeway insurance
, at the local dealer or garage. She was out running some errands and happened to pick up one of those “Thrifty Nickle” weeklys at the mall. You know those publications that advertise local businesses. She found an ad in there, freeway insurance
, for “JB’s Auto Services”. She called him up and “JB” came right to the house and fixed her car .

.. at a price she did somersaults over. JB has even found me broken down on the freeway and got me back on “my wheels”. He’s come to our house many times, found me on the freeway, gone to my daughter’s college campus, caught up with my son’s car in the parking lot at his work, and lots of other “going out of his way to take care of us”. I could tell you a ton of stories where JB saved the day. Service, service, service .

.. caring about us and the situation. Doing whatever it takes to get things right … at a cost much less than what it was really worth (in both quality and customer service).JB now has his own garage and still will come to wherever we are with, freeway insurance
, his “mechanic on wheels van”. If he can’t fix it onsite … he now takes it to his very own garage. He gets the parts, freeway insurance
, at best price, arranges for state inspections, works with insurance companies (if necessary .

.. do you have kids? LOL), and basically does everything soup to nuts … at all hours of the day and night. Plus … with a smile, a chuckle, a hug, and a “God Bless”. Needless to say we’ve referred probably 15-20 “new customers” to JB ourselves. Plus each of our friends has probably referred 5-10 apiece. That’s just us and our experience too. So from that one little ad in the Thrifty Nickle (which we found out later JB ran for only 1 day) .

., freeway insurance
, . we found our own personal “mechanic with a heart”. Now JB has his own shop and a ton of referal clients just from us and our friends. We also have a good friend who is more than just “our car guy”. He’s become very popular in our community and his business is booming. More than enough work to keep him VERY busy..Moral of the story … from little acorns grow big trees. You can start small .

.. and no telling what you’ll grow into.

Why?
Why should you bother?
A couple of little business statistics have stayed firmly in my business thoughts ever since I came across them almost 10 years ago.
1.	A 5% improvement in customer retention could add between 25% and 125% to your bottom line.
2.	Companies with good service records grow twice as fast as those with poor service records.
WOW!
What an opportunity!
No expensive marketing. No gimmicks.

Just give good service and watch your profits grow.
How?
Firstly, involve your people.
Make sure that everyone knows what’s going on. And why this is important.
Ask for their ideas and suggestions. This is so much more powerful than you telling them how to do it.
Involve everyone from the tea lady down. Remember that the most important people from a customer’s point of view are in the front line.

They are the ones on the security gate, at the counter, delivering the products. This needs the support of senior management. But it needs the involvement of everyone! And it has to be delivered by the front line.
Brainstorm. Here are some key threads that might get you started:-
1.	What can you do to make the experience for your customers as complete as possible from start to finish?
Think through in detail exactly what a customer experiences.

From, ladies gold watch
, the first, ladies gold watch
, moment that they hear about your business through making a call, coming to see you, parking their car, getting in the door, making that first purchase, getting advice etc. etc. Think it through in minute detail. Think about how they might feel how you can enhance the experience at every stage.

2.	Create hidden depths.
Create things that customers might not see every time that they visit. But little things that they might pick up on as they come back to you more often.
For instance, nice flowers in reception could create a great first impression. But how about if one of your customers wants to use the washrooms? Some nice perfumes would make it pretty special.
And what, ladies gold watch
, about when customers leave your business? Or when they, ladies gold watch
, get back home? What can you do that will really cement their experience?
3.

How could you respond to complaints that you receive?
Complaints are a fabulous opportunity and should be treated like nuggets of gold!
